We make the following decisions. The federal gov’t has no business influencing/dictating:

We The People are sovereign. We have full, final authority - fully outside federal meddling.
Good legislation follows this criteria.
IMHO, most US citizens and residents would NOT opt-in - these flawed and outdated programs would be unused. They only exist because of stolen taxes and coerced “participation”; they are ineffective and inefficient.
Liberty! says that We The People should make our own decisions and choose our own arrangements.
OUR LibertyAgain, our Liberty is NOT granted by gov’t. Liberty is inherently ours – documented in the Bill of Rights. Gov’t is established to protect OUR Natural Rights.
Historically, monarchs (tyrants, "elites"...) did NOT allow commoners to exercise any individual rights… denied by military force. Starting in 1100 AD, the people stood up and demanded Natural Rights. Each oppression by the monarchs caused pushback and further rights. Our US Bill of Rights is an artful description of Natural Rights common in England, circa 1789.
The Bill of Rights is the greatest expression of individual sovereignty in history.
